The University of New Mexico, Department of Surgery, is seeking a Board Certified or in the process of certification Plastic Surgeon to join our active, well-established academic practice, as Chief, Division of Plastic Surgery, Department of Surgery, at the academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
We are looking for an individual with diverse training and experience in Plastic Surgery, and a commitment to resident and medical student education. Interest and expertise in microvascular surgery is strongly desirable, as well as advanced training/experience in a Plastic Surgery subspecialty, i.e. breast, craniofacial, microsurgery, wound care, burns or hand surgery, with a strong interest and experience in teaching, research, and post-graduate medical education and training. The University of New Mexico Hospital, the only Level I Trauma Center in the State of New Mexico, sponsors an integrated residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
