||A one-year position in Microsurgery is available beginning August 1, 2019 through July 31, 2020, at Stanford University Medical Center. Individuals acquire expertise in all aspects of microsurgery and complex reconstruction, including oncologic defects of the breast (TRAM, DIEP, SGAP, TUG, SIEA, PAP), head & neck, and traumatic defects of the hand & lower extremity, peripheral nerve surgery, facial paralysis, and brachial plexus. Stanford is a Level I Trauma Center as well as a Comprehensive Cancer Center.
You will be appointed as a Clinical Instructor. Opportunities are available for participation in basic science and clinical research projects, as well as medical device development. Individuals typically perform over 150 free flaps each, and work with ten full-time microsurgeons.
