Job Title: Chief, Division of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery
Date Available: Immediately
Location: University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Coral Gables, FL 33146
Description: The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine invites applications and nominations for the position of Chief, Division of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
As one of only two academic plastic surgery programs in Florida, the Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery full-service division includes cosmetic surgery and the reconstruction, restoration, and/or replacement of both congenital and acquired anomalies of appearance and function of the skin. Almost from the beginning, it was considered a leading program, especially under the 20 year leadership of Dr. Ralph Millard, a pioneer in cleft lip surgery. The Division has continued much of its tradition as a source of state of the art academic and clinical plastic surgery, leveraging the academic depth of the Miller School of Medicine and the clinical environment provided by the combined health systems on the campus, the Jackson Health System and the University of Miamiís UHealth.

The next Chief of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery will be a nationally recognized leader in the practice, science, and education of plastic surgery. The ideal candidate will have a strong training pedigree, a track record of clinical excellence, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to providing an exceptional patient experience. She/he will bring a collaborative and entrepreneurial leadership style coupled with a demonstrated ability to create and build a top-ranked program in one of the most vibrant academic institutions in the nation. The Chief will have opportunities to recruit physicians and other key staff to create and facilitate new programmatic initiatives.

The University of Miami is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities are encouraged to apply. Applicants and employees are protected from discrimination based on certain categories protected by Federal law.
