|The Section of Plastic Surgery at Yale Medicine is seeking a clinical fellow for a non-accredited microsurgical reconstruction fellowship to start July 1, 2019.
This is a one-year, high volume clinical fellowship with a focus on microsurgical breast reconstruction at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). Our section performs over 150 microsurgical breast reconstructions per academic year. Exposure to extremity and head & neck reconstruction brings the total free tissue transfers to over 200 per year.
YNHH is a 1541 bed level one trauma center with a dedicated children’s hospital and an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Smilow Cancer Center. It is the largest hospital in Connecticut, and the primary teaching hospital for Yale School of Medicine.
It is anticipated that the fellow will participate in the operative and outpatient care of reconstructive patients requiring microsurgical techniques. The fellow will have the opportunity to participate in section academic conferences, clinical research, and teaching of our integrated plastic surgery residents as well as medical students.
Applicants must have completed an ACGME approved plastic surgery residency, be Board Certified or in the process of certification, and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Connecticut.
Interested candidates should forward their CV and two letters of recommendation to: email@example.com
