||The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Plastic Surgery, is seeking a full-time academic craniofacial orthodontist at the Assistant Professor level. The Craniofacial Center at the Johns Hopkins Childrens Center is newly constructed and equipped with full service dental chairs and instrumentation, a dental laboratory, iCAT scanner, Vectra 3D camera, and Dolphin analytic software. The orthodontist would serve our multi-disciplinary Cleft and Craniofacial Teams and guide all in-house treatment for the pre- and post-surgical orthodontic care of our patients. Specific clinical opportunities include naso-alveolar molding for infant cleft lip and palate, appliance fabrication, facebow transfer, splint and distractor management for midface and orthognathic surgery, and routine orthodontics. Craniofacial fellowship training in these areas is highly preferred, as is American Board of Orthodontics certification. Candidates will need to be eligible for Maryland state licensure. Active participation in outcomes analysis and cleft/craniofacial research studies is also highly encouraged as part of the position.
