ROLE of the POSITION
UNLV School of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a non-ACGME accredited One Year Microsurgery/Complex Reconstruction Fellowship. This position is one of the highest paid fellowships in the country with the opportunity for supplementing the base fellowship salary with compensated general plastic surgery call stipends. The fellow will gain a broad exposure to a wide spectrum of complex reconstruction and microsurgery including breast, extremity salvage, head and neck, complex trunk, trauma, replantation, and robotics.
The ideal candidate will:
- Assist faculty in operations, research and will be involved in the teaching of plastic surgery to residents, general surgery residents and medical students
- Have extensive exposure to cutting edge plastic surgery and will be responsible as a Junior Faculty member providing patient care, teaching medical students and residents
- Have excellent opportunity for basic or clinic research
- Possess an M.D. degree, D.O., or equivalent degree
- Have successfully completed an ACGME accredited program in plastic surgery prior to employment commencing
- Be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, malpractice insurance, and must be able to be successfully credentialed by southern Nevada medical facilities
SALARY RANGE: Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
