|Description:||The Section of Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan is seeking applicants for a microsurgery/breast reconstruction advanced specialty clinical training position. This is a non-accredited microsurgical clinical training position to start July 1, 2020.
The experience will involve preoperative evaluation, operative and postoperative management of microsurgical patients, as well as subsequent revisional breast reconstruction procedures. Pedicle flap and implant based forms of reconstruction will also be a component of the training experience. This is a training position in microsurgery, however, as a clinical lecturer, there will be opportunities for independent practice responsibilities and the care of a variety of plastic surgery patients.
There will be opportunities for teaching residents and medical students, participation in section educational conferences and engagement in research.
Applicants must have completed training in an ACGME approved plastic surgery training program and be board certified or in the process of certification. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Michigan.
