Spring 2012 Educational Programs

ACAPS Spring Retreat
Review the program designed by Joseph Losee, Vice President of ACAPS which will address Regionalization and include a Panel Discussion titled, "Should Board Examiners Be Allowed to Give Mock Oral Boards?"

AAPS 2012 Annual Meeting and ACAPS Panel
This year’s ACAPS Panel discussion during the AAPS Annual Meeting has been designed by Nicholas Vedder, ACAPS President-Elect, and is titled, “Overcoming Challenges of Training Plastic Surgeons in the Current Environment.” Review the full AAPS 2012 Annual Meeting Program.

ACAPS Member Business Meeting
Be sure to attend the ACAPS Member Business Meeting taking place on Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 12:30pm-3:00pm, at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco, California. View the minutes and attendee list of the last Member Business Meeting in Denver, Colorado.

Article On The NAS From The ACGME

Dr. Rod Rohrich has requested that ACAPS members read an article on the NAS from the ACGME in advance of the Annual Business Meeting taking place in San Francisco. This article will also be referred to during that meeting

The ACAPS Website – New Enhancements!

Howard Wang, ACAPS Communications Chair, and his committee have continued to work on enhancements to the ACAPS website to benefit the Membership. Explore these enhancements via the Members Only area today! An additional enhancement on Fellowships will also be announced by Dr. Charles Butler, Chair of the Fellowship Committee, in San Francisco.

Encourage your colleagues to become an Institutional Member of ACAPS

Program Directors who are Active Members of ACAPS can now enroll into ACAPS Associate Membership multiple members of their staff (teaching faculty not yet certified by the ABPS or the RCPS(C), other educators and plastic surgery residency program coordinators) under the Institutional Membership category. With Institutional Membership, Associate Members receive a 10% discount from the regular Associate Member rate.
