Submission Guidelines
  1. Abstracts must be relevant to the education of plastic surgery trainees (medical student, resident, fellows) or improvement of global health care. Abstracts not relevant to these topics will not be considered.

  2. All author information must be included and submissions complete to be considered. The abstract content, submitted on the following pages, must not identify either the authors or institutions from which the work originated.

  3. Authors may submit as many abstracts as they wish; a single author may present a maximum of two papers only. If more than two papers from the same author are accepted it is understood that a co-author shall present.

  4. All papers will need an ACAPS sponsor.

Presentation Format and Descriptions

Full Oral Presentation: Delivered in full Scientific Session, PowerPoint slides support. The Presenter is allowed 4 minutes for presentation. These abstracts will be published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open (PRS GO) prior to the meeting.

Poster Presentation: Selected posters will be on display throughout the meeting. Poster presenters will have the opportunity to present a 3 minute synopsis of their poster in PowerPoint format.

Awards: An award will be given for the best full oral presentation and the best poster presentation given by a medical student, resident, or fellow. Eligible abstracts must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. The Presenting Author is a Medical Student, Resident, or Fellow as of the abstract submission deadline.

  2. They are the first author on the paper.

  3. The Presenting Author will attend the Winter Meeting should the paper be accepted.
