|Description:||The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Washington University, St. Louis invites applications for a faculty position within the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. We are specifically seeking an individual with specialized interest and training in hand surgery and general reconstruction including microsurgery. This position is open rank and may be either tenure or clinical (non-tenure) track dependent upon the qualifications and goals of the individual. Surgeon will be based at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Medical Center and this will be the primary site of practice. 10-20% of the surgeonís time may be spent at a nearby affiliate hospital in a practice focused on elective hand surgery. The candidate must be a graduate of an ACGME accredited Plastic Surgery training program. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Plastic Surgery. Candidates must be able to obtain a Missouri and Illinois license.
Hand fellowship and Microsurgical proficiency is required. Involvement with resident and medical student education, and pursuit of scholarly activities are expected. Applicants will need to demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, and be committed to ongoing performance improvement.
