Job Title: Academic Pediatric Plastic Surgeon

Description: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of plastic surgery.

The successful candidate will become a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery and will practice at the nationally recognized Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. It is anticipated that he or she will focus on existing programs such as facial reanimation, vascular anomalies, and adolescent breast reconstruction at that facility. He or she may also participate in adult facial trauma treatment procedures at the Penn Medicine at University City location. Candidates demonstrating a desire to grow new programs such as transgender and pediatric microsurgery will be preferred. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students and plastic surgery residents.

Clinical responsibilities may include in-patient and outpatient care in pediatric plastic surgery.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include pursuit of clinical and/or basic science research related to pediatric plastic surgery.
