The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Ohio State University seeks a fulltime board-certified/board-eligible plastic surgeon who would like to grow and lead the Gender Affirmation program. A multidisciplinary collaboration is already established and we now need a leader from Plastic Surgery to take this institutionally supported program to the next level. Microsurgical expertise is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD or DO
  • Successful completion of a Plastic Surgery Residency
  • Additional experience and/or sub-specialty fellowship training in Gender Affirmation is desired.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Faculty rank and compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications

    About the Department:

    The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has 18 full-time faculty, 5 faculty at Nationwide Children's Hospital and 9 community faculty who are committed to the tripartite mission of clinical excellence, research and education. Our independent residency has 3 residents and our integrated residency program recently expanded to 18 residents in 2021. We have three fellows in microsurgery and pediatric plastic surgery. We are a referral center for central Ohio to provide comprehensive Plastic Surgery care at the Wexner Medical Center and the James Comprehensive Cancer Center of The Ohio State University. The faculty, residents, fellows and staff of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery firmly believe that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion drive excellence in patient care, education, research and innovation.
