|Description:||The University of California, San Francisco Division of Plastic Surgery is offering a one-year fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery for the 2021-2022 academic year beginning August 1st, 2022. The experience includes the opportunity to participate in microsurgical laboratory training, as well as a broad exposure to the range of reconstructive plastic surgery and microsurgery. Upper and lower extremity trauma and microsurgical breast reconstruction are emphasized although the fellow will participate in head and neck, toe-to-hand transfer, lymphatic surgery, abdominal wall, and other complex reconstructive cases. The Division of Plastic Surgery does over 160 microsurgical cases/year. The fellow participates in Division conferences and combines Orthopedic/Plastic Surgery Hand Conferences. Research projects are available in basic science and clinical outcomes. Applicants should have completed an accredited plastic surgery residency and satisfy the requirements for licensure by the Medical Board of California. Salary and full benefits are provided.
