The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a full time faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor, Clinical educator track in the Division of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery. This position provides a full spectrum of hand and microvascular surgery including lymphedema and peripheral nerve surgery; developing a research and clinical program related to hand transplantation (vascularized composite allotranspant). Candidate will be involved in the care of patients, teaching residents, fellows, medical students and will be responsible for participating in all academic and professional coverage within the Department of Surgery-Division of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.


This position requires an MD or DO degree from a recognized accredited University and must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in Plastic Surgery and a ACGME accredited fellowship in Hand Surgery/Reconstructive Microsurgery. Must be eligible to obtain a valid Florida Medical license, a DEA certificate, and must be eligible for board certification and CAQ in Hand Surgery.
