|Description:||MedStar Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery/Georgetown University Department of Plastic Surgery is seeking to add a Board Eligible / Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to be a full-time Faculty Member at the Assistant/Associate Professor level on staff at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC. The ideal candidate should have a broad interest in reconstructive surgery and possess fellowship training in either microsurgery and/or hand surgery.
The candidate would be integrated into an existing plastic surgery practice at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. This is a very high volume practice focusing on all aspects of plastic surgery. Washington Hospital Center is a Level 1 trauma center located in our Nation's Capital and serves as a core site for the Medstar Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery/Georgetown University integrated residency program. This includes 24 hour/day in-house resident call coverage. The candidate would be expected to work with and be engaged in the education of the plastic surgery residents and Georgetown University Medical Students.
A highly competitive compensation commensurate with rank including productivity based incentives is afforded. If desired there are also opportunities to be involved in both hand surgery and maxillofacial trauma as well.
