The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of plastic surgery with a focus on hand & microsurgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or eligible for such certification.
Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction of medical students and plastic surgery residents.
Clinical responsibilities may include building a practice in the full spectrum of plastic surgery but with concentration on hand surgery.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and/or basic science investigations in the field of plastic surgery and, specifically, hand surgery.
The successful candidate will become a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery and will pursue a practice within the Penn Medicine system. Applicants must have completed an accredited hand surgery fellowship.
