|Description:||The Department of Plastic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin offers a one-year fellowship in Pediatric Plastic Surgery. This ACGME accredited program offers advance training that encompasses the entire breadth of pediatric plastic surgery. Fellows have in-depth involvement with pre-operative planning, high-volume operative experience, and multi-disciplinary care of patients. The training program has a large clinical volume of reconstructive procedures for congenital anomalies including syndromic and non-syndromic craniosynostoses, clefting abnormalities, vascular and dermatologic conditions, and orthognathic surgery. The fellow will become facile in the management of pediatric patients requiring plastic surgery services and will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary cleft and craniofacial teams.
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Froedtert Medical Center are high volume Level I trauma centers and the Fellow will also be involved providing diverse and complex facial trauma reconstruction care.
Scholarly activity is welcome and well supported. Fellows will also be welcome to join on any international humanitarian trip that faculty attends.
