Description: | The University of Chicago Medicine has an opening in its newly created one year non-ACGME Burn Fellowship Program, effective July 1, 2021. Ideal candidates will have completed an ACGME accredited residency in either Plastic Surgery or General Surgery, but the program will also consider applicants with 3 years completion of these programs in good standing. Applicants must be qualified for a full licensure in Illinois.
The University of Chicago Burn Center is verified by the American Burn Association for both adult and pediatric patients and is affiliated with our Level 1 Trauma Center. The fellowship will include all aspects of burn care, including acute surgery, reconstructive surgery, burn critical care and rehabilitation. Opportunities exist for research and the fellow will be expected to attend the annual American Burn Association meeting. Interested candidates should submit the following as soon as possible for consideration of their application: 1. Letter of Intent 2. Current Curriculum Vitae 3. ERAS application (if available) 4. ABSITE or in-service score(s) 5. 3 letters of recommendation (one from current/most recent program director) 6. USMLE transcripts 7.
