|Description:||The Department of Plastic, Burn and Wound Surgery at University of Kansas Health System and Medical Center is seeking applications for a full-time academic plastic surgeon with a special interest in burn and wound care. Candidates should possess excellent clinical skills and have a strong interest in education and clinical and/or basic science research.
The Burnett Burn Center is nationally recognized and is the area's only ABA/ACS verified adult and pediatric burn unit. It is supported by our level 1 ACS verified trauma center. The burn unit includes 8 ICU beds and 8 step-down beds and provides care for burn injuries, complex wounds and cutaneous disorders.
Clinical responsibilities will include providing patient care, supervising residents and fellows, and sharing call on the burn and plastic surgery service. All faculty are required to take an active role in our integrated residency in Plastic Surgery. There will be an opportunity to develop additional clinical interests within plastic surgery.
Prospective candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery with substantial burn experience and/or burn fellowship training. Applicants are invited at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor (tenure or non-tenure track) based on experience. A generous compensation package with production incentives is offered commensurate with training and qualifications.
Candidate must possess or be eligible for their Kansas Medical License.
