Description: | The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
Ideal candidates will be interested in growing volume in gender affirmation surgery by providing the entire spectrum of gender affirmation surgical procedures. Additionally, this position offers the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary gender care team and provide education and advocacy in gender care to the entire region. Successful candidates will also be able to develop a practice in other aspects of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. The Albany Med Health System is the only academic health system in North-Eastern New York State, servicing a population of > 3 million people. The Division of Plastic Surgery has an integrated residency program with 2 residents per year and is involved in medical student education and research. Qualified applicants should satisfy the criteria to be appointed as a faculty member with demonstrated excellence in aspects of our tripartite mission of clinical care, teaching, and research. Required qualifications include successful completion of an approved Plastic Surgery residency program, board eligible/certified in plastic surgery. Candidates with sub-specialty fellowship training would be considered favorably. Candidates must hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of New York. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected. Faculty rank and compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. |
