Description: The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of General Surgery at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth is seeking applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery. The candidate should have a clinical interest in breast reconstruction and completion of a microsurgery fellowship is preferred. The candidate should also be able to secure a license in the State of Texas. The candidate should demonstrate a clinical interested in both autologous and implant-based breast reconstruction. Interest in lymphedema and lymphatic microsurgery is encouraged but not required. The Division is affiliated with the Memorial Hermann Hospital System in Houston, Texas with the main practice being located within the Texas Medical Center with opportunities for practice growth at other MH sites within Houston.

All faculty are expected to actively participate in the teaching and academic activities of the Division of Plastic Surgery by working with our residency and the medical students here at UTHealth, including patient rounds, presentations and lectures and attendance at appropriate internal conferences such as Grand Rounds as well as local and national conferences.
